As
I look at the growing budgets passed by the
Collin County Commissioners, the budget has
grown at a faster rate compared to the increase
in population. As Commissioner, I
will fight to reduce property taxes thus
reducing the ever increasing burden each family
faces because we've failed to have consistent
tax relief. The
first
step
I would take for the citizens of Collin
County would be to make
government more efficient, thus
passing the savings on to the
citizens. This is accomplished by
introducing the formation of a Citizens
Government Efficiency Board. This
board, made up of respected Collin County
Business Leaders, would be empowered to
review government operations and make
recommendations for ways to increase
efficiencies within county government. Secondly,
I would call for
a freeze in overhead spending
such as general and administrative costs,
which have grown at an exorbitant rate. Third,
the natural
growth we all welcome to Collin
County generates
enough revenue that we can afford property tax
relief to the citizens of Collin
County without a compromise in county
services. I
am committed to the families of Collin County
and have signed a pledge with Americans For Prosperity to cut your taxes.

little, the problem is that government
